Karen Cammell, the author of the ABI and KUMO reading series, has spent over 30 years as a Grade 1 teacher and school principal. Using her extensive experience, she created the Abi and Kumo readers to tackle reading challenges faced by many children. Her programme is designed to give schools an easy-to-implement solution to improving children’s reading skills
